Tick each step as you finish it. Your ticks stay on this device.

Do your mentor's Lv10 starter quest if you haven't yet. You can only take a profession's In My Own Right! quest after you've learned it.
Raise that profession to Lv5. Crafting Lv5 needs character Lv25. See the Crafting page for leveling and for making Screws.
Craft the item your mentor wants (see the tips for each mentor). Leave the catalyst slot empty. Everything except The Red Relaxer is tradeable, so you can also buy it.
Talk to your mentor and accept the quest: Silas Irons or Mr. Thunder in Perion, Francois in Ellinia, Vicious in Henesys Market, JM From tha Streetz in Kerning City, Chrishrama in Sleepywood.
If two of your quests want the same monster (Silas and Vicious both want Dark Axe Stumps; Francois and JM both want Wild Boars), accept both before you hunt.
Kill the 30 monsters your mentor asks for. Silas wants two kinds: 30 Dark Axe Stumps and 30 Zombie Mushrooms.
Bring the crafted item to your mentor and finish the quest. You get 3,060 EXP, 804 mesos and a Crafting Catalyst.
Repeat for every other profession you have at Lv5.

Silas Irons (Smithing, Perion): 30 Dark Axe Stumps, 30 Zombie Mushrooms, 1 Orihalcon Ingot and 1 Gold Ingot. Reward: Armor Crafting Catalyst.
Mr. Thunder (Weaponcrafting, Perion): 30 Iron Hogs and 1 Monkey Wrench. Reward: One-Handed Weapon Crafting Catalyst. Iron Hogs aren't rare: Pig Park and Pig Park II are full of them.
Francois (Tailoring, Ellinia): 30 Wild Boars and 1 Red Starry Bandana. Reward: Armor Crafting Catalyst.
Vicious (Woodcrafting, Henesys Market): 30 Dark Axe Stumps and 1 The Red Relaxer. Reward: Two-Handed Weapon Crafting Catalyst. The chair is untradeable, so craft it yourself.
JM From tha Streetz (Leatherworking, Kerning City): 30 Wild Boars and 1 Red Chair. Reward: Armor Crafting Catalyst.
Chrishrama (Arcforge, Sleepywood): 30 Horny Mushrooms and 1 Topaz. Reward: Scroll Crafting Catalyst. Ant Tunnel III has Horny and Zombie Mushrooms, so pair it with Silas's quest.
